Frequently Asked Questions
Who is eligible to join RWH?
RWH has always had an "open door" policy. If you can live with and embrace our rules and members then you're welcome to join us. Our main goal is to provide a safe environment for gaming in WoW. Families, including kids, are members of our guild. Before joining RWH you need to read all the guild rules and be sure you can follow them.
Will you help me level up my lowbie toon?
In RWH we strive to be a community and not a free ride. Will we help you when it's appropriate? Sure! Generally speaking we're a helpful and chatty group of folks. However, repeatedly asking for run throughs of dungeons is not only frowned on and irritating, its a violation of the guild rules. We all pay to play and most people don't level to 70 so that they can spend all their time running other people through Deadmines. Every person in RWH has individual needs and goals. The best way to meet your own goals is to find people with similar aspirations and stick with them. A full friends list, the lfg channel and the guild are all resources you can use.
How many alts can I have in the guild?
There is no limit to the number of alts you can have in the guild. However, please try to edit your character note so that we can always see who your main toon is. Also, try to keep your alts active. After a period of 4 months, generally speaking, inactive accounts will be gkicked. There are always exceptions to this rule, like when you need to take an afk for RL.
What are the RWH ranks?
One of the distinguishing features of RWH is the ever changing rank names and tabard. This is purely done at the discretion of the GM. This is one way we keep the game a game. Most times our tabard and rank names will have some sort of theme but not always. If you have a suggestion for a new tabard or rank theme please let Tamyrn know. The rank names have a general progression type meaning no matter what fun name is attached to them.
1 - new recruits
2 - new members
3 - members 6 months+
4 - members 1 year+ or exceptional contributors
5 - inactive officers
6 - active officers
7 - assistant GMs and their alts, GM alts
8 - TrojanMBA, the RWH GM
How do I become an RWH officer?
To become an RWH officer you need to show exceptional friendliness, helpfulness, unselfishness and a generally positive attitude. Working up through the ranks of RWH isn't difficult, we base promotion on 2 things: contribution to the guild and length of time in the guild.
Does RWH raid and how often?
We are NOT a raiding guild, but have had organized raids in the past. RWH is not currently running any official raiding. In the past we have had two Karazhan groups and one Zul'Aman group. The summer of 2008 has been a summer of change and players taking WoW breaks. As soon as we have enough interested people and leadership willing to lead raiding again, we shall return to having RWH raids.
Do I have to raid with RWH? What about starting up my own raid?
No, you do not have to raid with RWH. You can raid with any guild or group you want to raid with. Many members in RWH raid outside the guild either with the SGA, Raiding Jesters or other groups. You are free at any time to start up your own raid. If you want to have access to raid bank mats and official officer support you will need to work with the GM (TrojanMBA). If neither of those things are important to you, then you do not need any official support from RWH leadership.
What is the SGA?
The SGA, or Small Guild Alliance, is a group of guilds that banded together to make end game raiding available to guilds who didn't have the ability to raid in guild. RWH has been a member of the SGA for about 2 years now. The SGA has a website where you can look for raids, talk about class questions, network with other players, talk about random in game and out of game stuff and more. The SGA also has a chat channel in game that works much like the LFG channel. This chat channel is only available members of SGA guilds and should be used for the express purpose of finding runs/raids. It is never appropriate to spam the channel with run requests or random chatter. Remember that you are a representative of RWH and should act accordingly.
How do I register for the SGA?
Simply visit the SGA forum (the link is on the left-hand side of this website, under the heading "Clicky clicky") and create a user ID. Once your ID is created, contact TrojanMBA or Sapsuck either with an email or in game message/mail. Please be sure to tell them what name you used as your ID for the forums. TrojanMBA or Sapsuck will put your name in the registration queue. Typically you will be granted SGA access 1-2 days after registering.
How does the guild bank work?
Details and rules of the RWH guild bank are listed Guild Rules section of this site.
Who are the RWH officers?
Currently the RWH officers are (only main toons are listed):
TrojanMBA, Acting GM
Sapsuck - Assistant GM
Grayhawk, Baelthaazar, Zecik, Maduin, Seare, Mikie, Niterunner, Apate, DrB, Sydio, Jyll (in no particular order)
Dreya and Slivr are currently inactive officers.
How did RWH come to be?
RWH was founded in the spring of 2005 by Jenn (Bryanna) and Aaron (Ammon). They created the guild so that they would have a fun, safe place to play with family and friends. Although the guild has grown significantly since that time, RWH still operates under the hopeful idea that we are a virtual family.
