What Every Member of RWH Needs to Know: Many families, including children, are members of the guild and so we strive to keep the guild chat clean, uplifting, and positive. The purpose of this guild is to foster enjoyable game play in WOW in a fun, clean environment where everyone can feel comfortable. Therefore:
RULE 1. Never disrespect other guild members. No harassment, sexual abuse, sexist or threatening behaviour is tolerated.
RULE 2. Respect the Officers of the guild. They have earned their positions and therefore your respect as people and players.
RULE 3. Share your wealth, experience and good fortune where possible with guild members. Appreciate others' generosity when it is given.
RULE 4. Participate in Guild chat. Do not flood it with commentary about everything you are doing, but please communicate with other players while respecting that they could be busy at the time you are chatting. Participation in guild chat does not include spam, repeated requests for runs, asking for money, or in general being annoying. Disrespectful comments in guild chat WILL NOT be tolerated.
RULE 5. In all your interactions with other non-guild players, represent the Guild maturely, responsibly and with pride. All of your actions reflect back on your guild as a whole, please act accordingly.
RULE 6. Please try to keep swearing and bad language in chat windows to a minimum - meaning not at all. A number of us have children who play and/or watch and some guild members are young.
RULE 7. Higher level characters, especially officers will often be available to help you with harder quests, etc. However, please respect that they may be busy as well and politely accept any decline to group with you. When possible, you should seek out a group of the appropriate level for the task you are trying to complete. Being a good player means dying, trying over and over, and mastering the skills you have without the aid of a decked out uber player. On occasion a run through or assistance is appropriate but in general networking with similar level players not only helps you complete a task but introduces you to a network of friends you can call on later for help.
RULE 1. Respect the right of fellow players game-wide to have an enjoyable gaming experience.
RULE 2. Respect and acknowledge good, conscientious play by guild and non-guild members. Ask non-guild members (politely) to join our guild if you believe they would be an asset to our team, then inform an available officer.
RULE 3. We have a very strict policy regarding the use of foul, offensive and/or sexist language in guild chat, party chat, and raid chat. Offenders will be given a warning, and any further offense will result in the person being kicked from the guild. Phrases included as offensive are "omg" "wtf" and any other phrase that is an abbreviation for a swear word. Guild officers may use their discretion in deciding if the language usage is a kickable offense.
Why, you may ask, do abbreviations qualify? Saying these phrases offends some, not saying them offends none...Plain and simple. Your keyboard came equipped with a delete key, when in doubt use it. Our goal is to be a safe environment for any player, kids included. If you can't edit your own chat to fit these rules, find another guild.
Guild Looting Rules
Here are some rules that will help prevent feelings of frustration, unfairness, and hate during parties and raids.
RULE 1. NO Ninjas. EVER. Not in guild groups or in general play with non-guild members. FINAL. Ninjas are thieves whose behaviour will never be tolerated in this guild.
RULE 2. Blue and Epic items are rare and often BOP. Discuss your looting options BEFORE you play in a group. This will save all sorts of tension etc when they drop.
RULE 3. Do not loot in battle please! There are some exceptions to this rule (eg. by party agreement, an accident, etc.) however it is generally considered poor play. While you are looting your party may be dying.
Guild members will be removed from the guild roster for any serious offense and/or breaking any of the rules above, and only by agreement from the majority of the Guild Officers. Return With Honor uses a "two strikes and you are out" policy, so the second time any guild member re-offends and is kicked out, he/she will NOT be allowed back in permanently.
With the 2.3 patch, Blizzard has now added a guild bank in-game. The guild bank is a place where all guild members can deposit and withdraw items. We have divided the guild bank into 5 tabs: Mats, Recipes, Armor/Weapons, Other Stuff, and Raid Bank.
Where do I find the guild bank?
All in-game banks have some type of “vault” thingy to click on. Thanks to a very generous grant from Sap, we have many tabs/slots. (What a guy!)
What are the rules/guidelines for the guild bank?
The amount of items (daily) you can withdraw from each tab is based on your guild rank. Members are also able to deposit items. We ask that you are thoughtful in the donations you make to the guild...just because it won't sell on the AH doesn't mean you should throw it in the guild bank. Deposit items that you deem helpful to others.
WARNING: You may not, under any circumstances take an item from the guild bank to sell, either on the Auction House or to a vendor. This is something that is monitored and a violation is grounds for immediate dismissal from the guild.
We will briefly list the type of items that go in each tab and then state the guidelines for each tab:
Mats ONLY Tab
• Herbs
• Meats to make food
• Scales
• Cloth or silks
• Dust from DE-ing
• Ore, Bars of metal, or Leather
• Items used to make things or “do” things (regents or elemental items for example)
If you need something for an immediate goal, then go ahead and take it. Donating mats is useful, but if there are already many slots full of the item you are donating, please don't add more in.
Recipes Tab
• Plans for Blacksmithing
• Patterns for Tailoring or leatherworking
• Recipes for cooking
• Designs for Jewlecrafting
• Formulas for enchanting
• Codex’s or Librams
If you need something for an immediate (or near immediate) goal, then go ahead and take it. Donations are useful, but if there are already many slots full of the item you are donating, please don't add it.
Armor or Weapons Tab
• Armor of any type
• Weapons
• Rings
• Necklaces
• Gems
If you need something for an immediate upgrade, then go ahead and take it. Donating is useful, but if there are already many slots full of the item you are donating, please don't add it.
Other Stuff Tab
• Pots
• Raw Fish
• Green Hills of Straglethorn Pages
• Bags
• Cards for Darkmoon Fair sets
• Misc, but helpful items (i.e. Light feathers, Fish Oil, Tubes)
If you need something for an immediate use, then go ahead and take it. Donating is useful, but if there are already many slots full of the item you are donating, please don't add it.
Raid Bank Tab
• Potions
• Shards
• Dust from shards
• Items collected during the raid
• Items donated for the good of the raid(s) - food, enhacement items, etc…
The raid tab is not open to the general guild population. This tab is only available to guild officers and the items contained there are for the use of current raid members. The items found there are the result of their hours of hard work and will be used by raid members for enchants and other raid supplies. Any materials withdrawn are subject to the approval of raid leaders. Enchants and crafted items will only be supplied for items that are actually used for RWH raids. In other words, enchant mats will not be supplied to enchant your healing weapon if you are a shadow priest.
Items withdrawn from the raid bank are for the specific raids that RWH is running, not for any raid you happen to be attending. All members of the raids should be helping to stock up the potions, oils, and other mats it takes to keep the raids running each week.
FAQ
Can I withdraw gold from the guild bank?
No.
Can/should I donate gold to the guild bank?
Yes, you can (meaning all are able to) donate money to the guild bank. It would be nice for everyone, no matter how small, to support the guild bank and its costs. One officer made the suggestion that on some type of regular basis (i.e. everytime you log, weekly, bi-monthly), take the last digit in your gold total and donate it. For example, if you have 1043 gold, you could donate 3 gold. That was just one idea and is not a requirement by any means. You decide what you are comfortable with and able to contribute.
What is the gold in the guild bank used for?
We allow a loan for your first land mount, up to 50g and we also donate 50g towards your land mount. We do this to help ease some of the "holy cow I'm 40" pressure. Send an in-game message to TrojanMba or Sapsuck for this.
Extra/overstocked/junk/low level dusty items will periodically be sold by an APPROVED officer in the guild and the funds will be added to the guild bank. This is just to keep the clutter down and the usefulness up.
ANY other use of guild funds needs the approval of the GM or AGM (Trojan or Sapsuck).
If you have any questions about the guild Bank, please direct them to Trojan or Sapsuck in private whisper or send an in-game mail if they are not on.
